How to Download a TikTok Sound as an MP3
TikTok has no built-in way to save a sound on its own, but you can pull the audio out of any public video that uses it. Copy the video's link, paste it into FastSaver's free TikTok downloader, and flip the audio-only toggle. You get a clean MP3, no app or account needed, and the whole thing takes under a minute.
How to download the MP3
- Copy the video link. Tap the Share arrow on any video that uses the sound and pick Copy Link. On desktop, grab the URL from the address bar.
- Paste it into FastSaver. Drop the link in the box on the downloader page. There's a paste button, so no long-pressing.
- Turn on the audio-only toggle. This is the step people miss. Toggle on means MP3, toggle off means video.
- Hit download. The file saves with a proper readable name, not a string of random characters.
- Find the file. Android and desktop put it in the Downloads folder. On iPhone, tap the download arrow in Safari and the MP3 lands in the Files app under Downloads.
If you'd rather keep the whole clip, leave the toggle off and FastSaver saves the video in HD without the watermark. The full steps are in our guide to downloading TikTok videos without the watermark.
Finding the video a sound came from
FastSaver needs a link to one specific video, not the sound page itself. On any video that uses the audio, tap the spinning record in the bottom corner, or the sound title scrolling along the bottom of the screen. That opens the sound's page on TikTok, which lists every public video set to it.
Look for the original. User-made audio is usually named "original sound" plus a username, and the creator's own upload tends to sit at the top. That version has the full-length audio with nobody talking over it. If the original got deleted, scroll for another public video that plays the sound all the way through and copy that link instead.
If nothing downloads, or the file is silent
Three things cause almost every failure here. The video is private or deleted, so there's nothing public to fetch. TikTok muted the clip over a licensing problem, which leaves no audio to extract. Or the link points at a profile or a sound page rather than a single video.
The fix is the same either way: go back to the sound page, pick a different public video that still plays, and copy its share link. And remember that downloading a commercial song gives you no rights to it, so keep your MP3s for personal listening. Frequently asked questions
- Can I download just the sound from a TikTok without the video?
- Yes. Paste the video link into FastSaver and turn on the audio-only toggle to get an MP3 instead of a video file.
- Does TikTok to MP3 work on iPhone?
- Yes, it runs in Safari with no app install. The MP3 saves to the Files app under Downloads.
- What audio quality does the MP3 have?
- The same as the source video. FastSaver extracts the audio directly, so it cannot add quality that was never in the upload.
- Why does my downloaded TikTok have no sound?
- TikTok sometimes mutes videos over licensing issues. If the clip is silent in the app, there is no audio to extract, so pick another public video that uses the same sound.
